it.)
Written for KX-TVS 50/75/100/200, but probably OK
for other models.
1: In
program 98 check the software version of the 123211D. Versions earlier than
4/30/94 need a software upgrade.
2: In
program 80 enable each extension that is physically connected to the VPS
(voice processing system).
3: In
program 81 enable DTMF integration.
4: In
program 60 put all the extensions connected to the VPS into one extension
group (use this group for VPS extensions only).
5: In
program 08 enable hunting for the VPS extension group.
6: In
program 09 set the hunting of the VPS group to circular.
7: At every
VPS extension, temporarily connect a phone, and dial 7301# to set data line
security.
8: At every
phone, go off hook and dial 7192# to set proper Follow On ID sequence so that
the calls go directly to the phone's mailbox.
9: Set
call forwarding on all the phones you want to go to VPS. For system phones,,
go off hook, press FWD/DND dial 1 (all calls) or 2 (busy/no ans) dial the
extension number of the first port in the VPS hunt group, dial # hang up. For
single-line phones, go off hook, dial 711 (all calls) or 712 (busy/no ans),
dial the extension number of the first port in the VPS hunt group, dial #,
hang up.
If you want the voice
processor to answer all calls:
1: In
programs 51 & 52 set the COs mode to DIL to the first extension of the VPS
hunt group.
Lines programmed as Normal
will not hunt.
If you want the VPS to answer
only calls not answered by the Operator:
1: In
programs 47 & 48 enable ringing at the Operators extension and stagger the
ringing of the COs to the VPS ports. (CO 1 to VPS ports 1&3 CO 2 to VPS ports
2&4)
2: In
programs 49 & 50 set delayed ringing on each extension connected to the VPS in
order to give the Operator time to answer incoming calls before the VPS picks
up.
3: In
programs 51 & 52 set the mode for each CO to Normal.
If you want the VPS to answer
calls not answered by other people:
1: In
programs 47 & 48 enable ringing on every extension that you want to have ring
including all VPS ports. Stagger the ringing of the COs to the VPS ports. (CO
1 to VPS ports 1&3 CO 2 to VPS ports 2&4)
2: In
programs 49 & 50, set delayed ringing (3 to 4 rings) on each extension
connected to the VPS in order to give the extensions time to answer the call
before the VPS does.
3: In
programs 51 & 52 set the mode for each CO to Normal.
